First, confirm your assessment route with the ACT Board
The ACT public guidance directs admission questions to the Secretary of the Admission Board. Ask for written guidance on the academic and practical training evidence required for your overseas pathway before enrolling in PLT.

Finish any Australian academic subjects, English language evidence or other conditions before relying on PLT completion.

Complete and document practical training
Undertake IOLT’s online course and 20 supervised workplace days only after confirming that the course evidence will meet the ACT direction applying to you.

File for the intended ACT admission day
Prepare the originating application, affidavit and supporting documents early enough to meet the Court’s 28 day filing deadline.

Contact the Secretary of the ACT Legal Practitioners Admission Board using the details published by ACT Courts and request guidance for your qualifications and training.
ACT Courts state that the application must be filed no later than 28 days before the admission day. Late applications are not accepted for that sitting.
IOLT can explain its course and documents, but the ACT authority determines whether the evidence meets the requirements applying to your admission.
Not by itself. Admission and holding an appropriate practising certificate or interstate practice entitlement are separate matters.
