The essential information for international students and overseas-qualified law graduates considering Practical Legal Training in Australia.
How much is IOLT PLT for international students?
The international student tuition fee is $8,700 AUD. External costs such as qualification assessment, university top-up subjects, English testing, admission applications, visa matters and practising certificates are separate.
Can international students complete PLT online?

Can I complete IOLT PLT while living overseas?
You can complete the online coursework while overseas. Before enrolling, consider how you will complete the workplace experience and any in-person admission requirements. Visa and migration questions should be confirmed independently with the Department of Home Affairs or a registered migration professional.

An Australian admitting authority must assess your overseas qualification. It will tell you whether you need Australian law subjects, English language evidence, PLT or other requirements before you can apply for admission.

Follow the directions in your assessment. Some applicants must complete all directed academic requirements before starting PLT, while limited early-start arrangements may exist with prior approval. IOLT can review your documents, but the admitting authority makes the decision.
