Can I complete IOLT PLT if I live in Queensland?

Yes. Queensland applicants can complete IOLT PLT online. The Legal Practitioners Admissions Board manages the admission application process, with admission ultimately taking place in the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Plan early for Queensland conduct reports

For admission sittings on or after 1 September 2025, student conduct reports are required from every university and PLT provider you attended. Those reports must be sent directly to the Board at least 42 days before the sitting.

    Plan backwards from an admission sitting

    Allow time for completion documents, direct student conduct reports and the 42-day timetable that applies to the current Queensland admission process.

    Apply for admission, then your practising certificate

    Follow the Queensland LPAB admission kit, complete the Supreme Court of Queensland admission process, then apply for the appropriate practising certificate if you intend to practise.
